Cup Match cricketer gets road ban after erratic driving
A Somerset Cup Match and former Bermuda cricketer has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Malachi Jones, 35, admitted not taking a breath test when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that police stopped Jones after watching him swerve left and right in his car, and almost collide with another driver in Southampton on May 11.
Jones, from Sandys, refused to give a breath sample at the scene or at Hamilton Police Station.
He was fined $1,500 in addition to being banned, and was given until January 31 to pay.
