Threat at bus station lands Pembroke man in court

A man who threatened a bus driver has incurred a $750 fine in Magistrates’ Court.

Jamal Bascome, 39, admitted threatening Selwyn Scott when he appeared in court.

The court heard that Mr Scott prevented Bascome from boarding a bus he was driving on October 5.

Bascome, from Pembroke, responded by saying he would “make sure something happens” to Mr Scott.

Bascome, who has previous convictions for similar offences, apologised for the incident.

Magistrate Craig Attridge gave Bascome until March 31 to pay the fine.
