Man caught with knife and drug equipment in Hamilton
A man found with a weapon and drug equipment has been sentenced to four months behind bars.
Jahroy Simons, 39, admitted having a folding knife, which had a 3.5in blade, and drug equipment when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that on May 26, 2024, police saw Simons, from Sandys, on Union Street holding the knife and drug equipment, made from a glass bottle and a wrench bit.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sentenced Simons to four months behind bars for each offence, to run concurrently.
Ms Anderson ordered that Simons’s sentence begin after a longer one he is serving for a series of thefts.
