Motorist banned for drink-driving
A motorist who was stopped in Paget has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Khalilah Furbert, 46, admitted drink-driving when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that police conducting sobriety checks stopped Furbert near White Sands Road on December 27.
Furbert, from Devonshire, admitted drinking before getting behind the wheel and was taken to the Hamilton Police Station, where a breath test showed between 146 and 160 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The legal limit for driving in Bermuda is 80mg/100ml.
In addition to being banned, Furbert was fined $1,500 for the offence.
