Man denies causing injury on the road
A man has denied causing grievous bodily harm by driving without due care and attention.
Cristovao Domingos, 38, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The incident was alleged to have happened on May 7 last year on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s.
The extent of the injuries allegedly sustained by Jovelyn Apostol were not read out in court.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case until April 7 for directions and disclosure.
She released Mr Domingos, from Devonshire, on $5,000 bail and ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim.
