Paget man pleads guilty to weapons charges

A Paget man who pleaded guilty to possessing a knife and a gun will be sentenced in May.
Wahhaj Shakir, 22, was charged with having a knife with a blade longer than three inches in public on July 18 last year.
He was also charged with having a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol and four rounds of ammunition on July 19.
Shakir entered guilty pleas to all three charges when he appeared in Supreme Court yesterday.
Puisne Judge Alan Richards set a sentencing date of May 27 and remanded Shakir into custody.
