A motorist who struck a parked car in Hamilton has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for six months.

Graham Sutherland, 47, admitted driving without care and while disqualified and disobeying a traffic sign when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court last week.

The court heard that Sutherland, from Warwick, collided with a parked car on Queen Street after ignoring a red light near Par-la-Ville Road and Front Street on December 17, 2022.

Sutherland was fined $1,000 in addition to the ban.
