Darrell to lead Bermuda

Antonio Darrell will captain Bermuda Under-15s when they travel to Canada for the ICC Under-15 Americas Tournament later this month.The Bermuda Cricket Board have chosen a strong 14-man squad for the 40 over competition, which will be played in Winnipeg and will pit Bermuda against USA and Canada in the double round robin format.Also selected are the likes of promising Southampton Rangers batsman Alex Dore, PHC spinner Delray Rawlins, and Willow Cuts’ Joshua Commissiong.“I would like to congratulate all the players selected for this tour,” said Bermuda head coach David Moore. “This is not just in recognition of their playing skills, but their commitment to training, their hard work and desire to play cricket for Bermuda. I encourage those that weren’t selected to continue to practice hard, attend training and maintain your desire to represent Bermuda.”Moore will not travel to Canada with the team, who are coached by Grant Smith and Lorenzo Tucker. Lloyd Smith will accompany the pair for the August 21-26 tournament.Prior to leaving the squad will have a pre-tour training camp, which will see them practice from 10am-3pm at the National Sports Centre on August 15, 16 and 17.Bermuda Under-15s: Antonio Darrell (capt), Christion Gibbons-Wade, Alex Dore, Janhoi Bean-Wilson, Delray Rawlins, Joshua Commissiong, Demiko James, Joshua Liyanage, Detre Bell, Keishun Smith, Ceejay Outerbridge, Khalif Williams, Cameron Gordon, Micah Perozzi.
