The Bermuda Cricket Board will have a team in each of the Evening Cricket League’s two divisions, new organiser Marc Wetherhill has announced.
The Legends have dropped out of the Second Division, which will again feature BCB Academy for the new season, which started last night.
The BCB’s new team will go straight into the Premier Division.
North Village, who won the Second Division last season, have chosen to remain in the lower tier, while PHC opted to drop down from the top flight.
“The BCB were keen to have a 1st and 2nd XI, so now everybody is happy,” said Wetherhill, who has replaced retired umpire Stephen West after he ran the league for 32 years.
There are seven teams in each division.
