Cleveland strengthen ranks
Just thirteen players obtained transfers before the new cricket season, with former Southampton Rangers pair Dean Stephens and Ian Armstrong joining promoted side Cleveland County.
Rangers, last season’s league champions in both 50 overs and Open League, also lost Sheldon Caesar to St David’s.
First Division side PHC lost five players, with Shaquille Trott joining Devonshire Rec, the former club of his father and grandfather, Winston Trott Sr and Jr.
PHC also lost Jerez Eve and Randy Bean to Somerset Cricket Club, Kacy Greene to St George’s and Robert Richardson to Warwick Workmen’s Club. Dennico Hollis has joined St George’s from Bailey’s Bay.
As reported earlier, Lionel Cann has rejoined St David’s from St George’s, while Joshua Gilbert has departed Somerset Cricket Club to play for neighbours Somerset Bridge this season. Clay Smith, the former Bermuda coach, will coach Flatts on their return to the top flight and has also completed his player transfer from Warwick.
