Bermuda name training squad

Dion Stovell

The Bermuda Cricket Board has put in place a training squad to begin early preparation for two tours this summer, the World Cup 50 Overs Challenge League in Uganda and the T20 ICC Americas Qualifiers in Canada.

The bulk of the 39-man squad includes players who competed in two tours at the end of last summer, led by 50 overs and T20 captains Dion Stovell and Terryn Fray.

Others, such as former Bermuda captain OJ Pitcher and his St David’s team-mates Cejay Outerbridge and Chris Douglas, Jordan DeSilva, Greg Maybury, Alje Richardson and Dalin Richardson of Somerset and Regino Smith of Flatts have been added to the squad.

In a meeting on Tuesday night, BCB president, Lloyd Smith, outlined requirements to those named in the squad, with the Board’s new executive members, high performance committee, selection committee and under-19 and senior coaches Arnold Manders and Herbie Bascome.
