National team will be first to don Kappa strip

The Bermuda Cricket Board has secured a partnership with suppliers Printable Promotions and sportswear brand Kappa that will enable the national senior and under-19 teams to become the first cricketing country to wear the brand.

Kappa will be designing the kits for the national cricket teams for the next two seasons, as well as creating a streetwear range for national team fans. The suppliers Printable Promotions, are based in the United Kingdom.

“We are absolutely delighted to launch this partnership between ourselves, Bermuda Cricket Board and Kappa,” said Matt Cowley of Printable Promotions.

“The vibrancy and style of Bermuda fits perfectly with Kappa and it’s incredibly exciting for the island to be the first cricket nation to wear the brand.

“There are some plans in place to launch a replica shirt and supporters range unlike anything the cricket world has seen before, and we’re really looking forward to linking up with other Bermudian sports teams to strengthen this relationship further.”

The Bermuda Cricket Board said: “This exciting kit deal will allow us to reconnect with cricket fans both locally and internationally while providing an opportunity to reinvest shared revenue into our national teams, academy and youth programmes.

“Kappa’s unique brand is a reflection of our island home and its people — traditional, vibrant and stylish — and we are elated that we are able to continue carrying these values forward in the sport of cricket.”

Bermuda national teams will be involved in World Cup Challenge League B and the Under-19 World Cup Americas Qualifier in Jersey and the US in August and September.
