Delray Rawlins

Bermudian Delray Rawlins will venture into new territory today when he turns out for Southern Brave against Trent Rockets in Nottingham in The Hundred, which started on Thursday after a one-year delay because of the Covid pandemic.

Eight men’s and eight women’s teams will be in action during the month-long tournamen,t which will end with the men’s and women’s finals at Lord’s on August 21. The group winners after the round-robin matches will play the winners of the elimination match between the second and third placed teams in the final.

The men’s and women’s teams are: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, and Welsh Fire.

Matches are expected to last about 2½ hours and will feature the women’s matches between the same teams as part of double-headers.

The Brave, who will play their home matches at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, will play again on Tuesday when they meet Welsh Fire in Cardiff before taking on Birmingham Phoenix in their first home match next Friday.
