BCB to host batting workshop this weekend

The Bermuda Cricket Board is inviting senior, national academy players and all coaches to a batting workshop this Saturday at Bermuda High School gym from 10am to pm.

The workshop will involve two international specialist batting coaches, Gary Palmer and assistant coach Nick Palmer.

Interested persons should reserve their places by e-mailing rsimons@cricket.bm or calling the BCB office on 292-8958 by noon on Friday.

Kellie Smith, the BCB vice-president and development chairperson, said: "On behalf of the BCB we are elated to provide our dedicated players, national men's team and coaches with a technical development batting workshop under the leadership of Mr Gary Palmer and his assistant academy coach, Mr Nick Palmer.“

Indoor Covid guidelines will be followed with all participants being required to take an antigen test upon arrival.

Gary Palmer is a well known specialist batting coach who runs an academy for aspiring professional cricketers and a batting lab. A former first class player for English county Somerset, he has coached former England captain Alastair Cook, England and Surrey player Dom Sibley and Pakistan Test batsman Shan Massood.
