National coach to hold fielding and wicketkeeping workshop
Niraj Odedra, the national coach, will be hosting a fielding and wicketkeeping workshop for all club coaches from youth to senior level at the Police Training Centre on Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The session will begin with 45 minutes of theory, with the practical phase taking up the rest of the two-hour exercise.
All coaches are welcome and must register in advance with the Bermuda Cricket Board at info@cricket.bm by noon on Wednesday.
The workshop follows on the heels of last week’s spin bowling workshop at the National Sports Centre, which has been dubbed as a success.
“I had really good numbers last week,” Odedra told The Royal Gazette. “There were about 18 to 20 people who did the workshop, and I hope the number should not go down.
“I wish the same number of people can attend the course. I don’t want more than 30. But I don’t want anything less than 20 as well.
“More would be fine. But I hope the number stays the same and if they really enjoyed it last week, then it should not go down anyway.
”So it’s up to me how I take the course and I am just hoping for good numbers.“
