Cleveland County sign seven players in cricket transfer window
Cleveland County were the most active club during the cricket transfer window with a host of notable additions joining the club in advance of the new domestic season.
The Harris Bay outfit made seven new signings, headed by Dion Stovell who makes the switch from Southampton Rangers. Allan Douglas Jr is part of four arrivals from St George’s along with Isaiah Greaves, Jabari Darrell and Treadwell Gibbons Jr.
Jahcobi Butterfield has made the switch from Warwick Workmen's Club, with Jahmari Beach’s arrival from PHC wrapping up a busy close season for Cleveland.
The St George’s squad will have a completely different look to last season with Rodney Trott departing for Bailey’s Bay and Detroy Smith opting to join Flatts.
In response to the exodus of players, Clay Smith’s side have confirmed just one addition with Charles Trott, who is recovering from a broken metatarsal, arriving from Southampton Rangers.
Rangers have seen six players in total exit the club, as along with Stovell and Trott, Gerald Simons Jr and Rohaan Simons have signed for PHC, Tayo Smith has followed Janeiro Tucker to Somerset, while Shannon Rayner has opted to move to St David’s.
In response, Rangers have confirmed the signings of Curtis Jackson from Cleveland and Shirwin Jones from Devonshire Rec, who in turn announced the signing of Jackson’s former team-mate Clay Darrell.
Another player to leave Cleveland is Zeri Tomlinson, who is one of three new signings at Warwick alongside Kwasi James and Sergio Raynor, who both arrive from Willow Cuts.
Bailey’s Bay also made three signings, with Trott joined by Terron Webb, who has left PHC, and Davian McGlashin arriving from Western Stars.
