Hiscox named cricket youth league sponsor
The Bermuda Cricket Board has secured Hiscox Re & ILS as the new sponsor of the 2023 8 and Under Youth League.
Fixtures will be played on Saturdays at 9am at the National Sports Centre North Field and scheduled club fields
Warwick Workmen’s Club, Pembroke Hamilton Club, Warwick Academy Cricket Club (A & B), Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club, Cleveland County Cricket Club, Flatts Victoria Recreation Club, Western Stars Sports Club, Saltus Reds & Knights, St George’s Cricket Club, St David’s County Cricket Club, Somerset Bridge Recreation Club, Somerset Cricket Club and Devonshire Recreation Club will all be fighting it out for honours, with the organisers delighted to have 16 teams registered..
“Hiscox Re & ILS is committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work,” said Justin Sousa, senior financial analyst for Hiscox ILS.
“We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the BCB and to support their goal of helping young boys and girls develop a passion for sport,”
Kellie Smith, the BCB vice-president and development chairman, expressed the cricket board’s appreciation to the sponsors.
“On behalf of the Bermuda Cricket Board, I would like to thank our long-term partner, Hiscox, for once again sponsoring one of our most important grassroots programmes,” he said.
“Our aim is to ensure we provide an opportunity for all girls and boys in the 8 & Under programme to participate while having fun learning the basics of cricket. We want all players to be inspired to develop a passion for the sport”.
The BCB development committee is encouraging members of the public to come out and support youth programmes this season.
