Live blog: T20 World Cup Qualifier D-Day
It has all come to this. The final day of the ICC T20 World Cup Americas Region Qualifier is upon us, and the players from Bermuda and Canada have the chance to etch their names in history.
Neither country has graced the global stage at this level, and the 22 players who take the pitch at North Field, National Sports Centre, will be judged ultimately on who better adapts to the weight of the occasion.
There is still some weather in the air in the wake of Tropical Storm Philippe, which may affect the start time of our opening match between Cayman Islands and Panama, scheduled for 10am, but the forecast is set fair for the finale at 2.30pm when Bermuda will hope the biggest crowd of the tournament come to roar them home.
My name is Dexter Smith and I hope to bring you all the action from North Field from Ball 1.
Enjoy and let’s cheer on the local lads.
