Players on the move as domestic cricket transfer window closes
Q’Shai Darrell is the biggest name to have switched clubs in advance of the new cricket season.
The deadline for player transfers imposed by the Bermuda Cricket Board passed on Tuesday and while there was not a hive of activity, there were some intriguing moves.
Darrell, who captained a victorious St George’s in Colts Cup Match last year has moved to that club permanently from Cleveland County and he will be joined by Clay Darrell, with the medium-pace bowler reuniting with his father, Clay Smith, after moving from Devonshire Rec.
As two new players arrive at St George’s, one leaves in the shape of Temiko Wilson, who returns to Western Stars, the club where he first became established.
Aside from the departure of Q’Shai Darrell, Cleveland County have also lost Jahcobi Butterfield, who has returned to Warwick just a year after initially making the switch between the two sides.
Former Flatts Victoria captain Cofield Robinson has ended his long affinity with the club in favour of a move to Somerset.
Players that missed the deadline still have the opportunity to request a loan to another club throughout the season.
