Women’s T10 cricket league starts this weekend

Four cricket teams will be competing in the women’s T10 championship this season.

The league will feature Devonshire Rec Sports Club, Somerset Bridge Recreation Club, Western Stars Sports Club, and Warwick Workmen's Club, with all matches played at Police Field and teams playing each other twice.

The season is scheduled to start this weekend and finish on the final day of August, with the executive director of the Bermuda Cricket Board, Cal Blankendal, excited to bring the women’s game to cricket fans on island.

“We take this time to thank the Bermuda Police Service for providing Police Field, as the 2024, Women’s League venue,” Blankendal said.

“We encourage the cricket community to come out and support our women’s teams, by bringing your families and the next generation of female players.”

The Women's T20 Cricket League will begin following the conclusion of the T10 league. with BCB hoping to foster growth and provide more opportunities for women in cricket.
