Cleveland County have forfeited their Athene T20 Premier Division match with St George’s after only five players turned up on time for the game.

With the St George’s team all present at Wellington Oval for the second half of a double header after Devonshire Rec had beaten Willow Cuts in their First Division encounter, umpires Steven Caines and Steven Douglas, who is also chairman of cricket at Bermuda Cricket Board, were left with no alternative but to cancel the game.

Their report is likely to be submitted indicating a forfeit, with St George’s being awarded the points as they attempt to retain their T20 title
