Crash motorcyclist arrested on suspicion of impaired driving

A 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following a road traffic accident.According to police, the man was travelling on a motorcycle along Old Military Road in St George’s, when he collided with a concrete embankment.The single-vehicle accident occurred around 5am last Friday, near the junction with Barack Hill.Said a police spokesman: “The St George’s man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The motorcycle received front-end damage.”An investigation is now underway.
