A handgun was seized and a man arrested, following a search by police of a home in the Friswell’s Hill area of Pembroke.The 22-year-old Pembroke man was taken into custody on Friday afternoon.Police will perform a forensic examination of the weapon, to determined whether it has been used in previous crimes. Anyone with information on this or other firearms is asked to contact the Serious Crime Unit at 295-0011.Police also reported six arrests on suspicion of impaired driving this weekend, with a further 33 people arrested for outstanding warrants.
