A visitor was robbed of a handbag by a man on a passing motorcycle on Monday. Two visitors were riding a rental cycle on North Shore Road near the junction with Wilkinson Avenue when a thief removed the bag from the cycle’s basket as he rode past.The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black motorcycle with some yellow and red sections. Police have refused to rule out a connection between this incident and a similar robbery in the same area last Thursday. Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Pc Anthony Bartley on 295-0011.
