Fire started by Molotov cocktail
A fire reportedly started by a Molotov cocktail was extinguished by residents at Plaices Point Road, Pembroke, police said, at 11am on Sunday.According to a neighbour, a couch outside a home was set alight. The Bermuda Fire Service also responded. No injuries were reported.Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact 295-0011. Inquiries are ongoing.Elsewhere, two single vehicle collisions were reported.At 3.30am, an 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man escaped injury, along with four male passengers, after a car on Middle Road, Southampton struck a utility pole near Church Road.A 25-year-old Devonshire man was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after his car collided with a pole on Harrington Sound Road, near Arrowroot Lane, at 4.05am.In both cases, drivers were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, and released after being cleared by alco-analyser test.
