A 22-year-old yesterday denied having cannabis in Westgate.Appearing in Magistrates’ Court, Julian Washington pleaded not guilty to one count of possessing cannabis in an increased penalty zone, namely the Westgate Correctional Facility.The incident was said to have taken place on July 6 last year. At that time he was being held in connection to the robbery of a motorcycle, a charge which he pleaded guilty to in August.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Washington, who was released from jail last December, on $2,000 bail with a like surety, ordering him to return to court next month for the matter to be mentioned.
