A suspected drunk driver was chased and stopped by the police on Middle Road, Devonshire, around 3.40am on Thursday, according to police.A spokeswoman said officers noticed the car travelling erratically. Police persued it and stopped it near the junction with Fort Hill Road.When they approached the driver, a 28-year-old man from Devonshire, he appeared to be intoxicated, according to the spokeswoman.He was arrested and failed a breath test. He was kept in police custody and court charges are pending.
