A St George’s man has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill his former girlfriend.At a hearing in Supreme Court yesterday morning, Detroy Smith, 27, admitted that he made the threat to Mikaela Pearman on October 24 last year.Smith denied a further charge of making threatening gestures towards Ms Pearman by sending a photograph of a hand holding a firearm to her cell phone.That charge is to be kept on file.Smith’s lawyer, Victoria Pearman, asked that sentencing be adjourned until the completion of a social inquiry report on her client.Acting Justice Charlene Scott remanded Smith into custody and adjourned the matter for mention on April 1.
