A 25-year-old man who was stabbed on Front Street earlier this week remains in a stable condition in Intensive Care Unit.

The Hamilton Parish man was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the fight that broke out at around 3:30am.

“At last check the 25 year old Hamilton Parish man who was apparently stabbed during an altercation that occurred around 3.30am Monday, September 29th on Front Street was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit,” a spokesman said.

“Several persons remain in police custody pending further inquiries.

“Witnesses or anyone with relevant information regarding this matter should contact the Serious Crime Unit on telephone number 247-1739 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
