Stabbing suspects bailed
Those arrested in the aftermath of this week’s stabbing on Front Street have been released on police bail.
On Monday police revealed ‘a number’ of people had been arrested at the scene, but did not say exactly how man.
Now a police spokesman has confirmed that those detained at the time of the fight had been freed pending further investigations.
“A number of people have been arrested for various offences in relation to this incident and have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries,” he said.
The stabbing victim, a 25-year-old Hamilton Parish man, remains in the Intensive Care Unit where he is said to be in stable condition.
Meanwhile police have confirmed that no arrests have yet been made in connection with a shooting that resulted in a car crashing into the Fairmont Southampton entrance
The crash on September 27 followed a cross-island chase in which the car was fired at several times.
“At this time no arrests have been made in connection with this confirmed firearm incident,” the spokesman said. “However, the investigative team is following certain lines of inquiry and continues to appeal for witnesses.”
