The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed that they are actively investigating suspected cases of child pornography on the Island.
“I can confirm that the Bermuda Police Service is conducting an investigation targeting local offenders,” said, Sean Field Lament, the Acting Assistant Commissioner. “There may be criminal offences in regards to illegal use of the internet and possibly paedophile-related charges.
“Police are actively investigating the matter under Supt Det James Howard and Det Insp Mark Clarke and it would be inappropriate to give further details, as this may hinder the investigation in its earliest stages.”
