Stolen motorcycle parts recovered by police
Police seized stolen motorcycle parts from a home on Cheriton Lane, Pembroke.
Stripped frames and engines, as well as a complete motorcycle, were recovered in the raid by the Roads Policing Unit at 11.30am yesterday, following tips from members of the public.
A 20-year-old Pembroke man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is helping police with inquires.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “It should be noted that the successful recovery of property, and the arrest of a suspect, is directly attributed to members of the public contacting police after observing multiple bikes unnecessarily parked and strewn around this particular residential property.
“The Bermuda Police Service would like to encourage members of the public to continue providing information of this nature, as it is useful and usually results in cycle recoveries and arrests.”
Anyone with information regarding stolen cycles should contact Sergeant Dorian Astwood on 247-1009 or e-mail dastwood3@bps.bm.
