Woman arrested in connection with stabbing
A woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place on Sunday night.
According to a police spokesman, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested and subsequently released on bail as police continue their investigation.
A 24-year-old woman reportedly suffered facial injuries in the stabbing, which occurred in the Cedar Park, Devonshire, area. She has since been discharged from the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man who was shot in the Happy Valley area the previous day has been moved to a general ward, and was this morning in stable condition.
The spokesman added that investigating officers were still seeking the help of the public, saying: “Officers from the Serious Crime Unit would like to speak with anyone who can assist us with this investigation, particularly anyone in the Parsons Road, Happy Valley, two and one-way Deepdale area who may have seen men on motorcycle(s) acting suspiciously between 10pm and 10.45pm Saturday night.
“If you have any information we are asking you to contact Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith on 295-0011 or the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011.”
