Armed robbery of taxi driver
A cabbie was robbed at knifepoint last night on South Road in Southampton, near the Gulfstream restaurant.
According to police, officers responded to the incident at about 11.30pm.
It was reported that a taxi driver was dispatched to the area to collect a fare, when he was approached by to unknown males on a white motorcycle.
The pillion passenger brandished what appear to be a knife and demanded the driver hand over money.
The suspects fled the scene in an easterly direction toward Horseshoe Road.
The pillion passenger was described as being brown skin, slim build and approximately 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall, wearing a brown jacket.
