Police: Help us find Rayshun Edwards
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a Sandys man believed to be involved in an incident in which a vehicle knocked down an officer.
During yesterday’s incident, officers ordered a vehicle to stop at the junction of Highwood Lane and Lover’s Lane in Paget.
However, the suspect abruptly reversed, knocking down an officer, before reversing down the one-way road, striking another car and then hitting two residential walls before fleeing the area on foot.
A police spokeswoman said today that officers were now looking for 25-year-old Rayshun Edwards of Sandys.
“Mr Edwards is wanted in connection several offences committed after an incident that took place yesterday at Lover’s Lane in Paget,” the spokeswoman said.
“A number of residences around the island have been canvassed in the search for the man and police are urging that he turn himself in.
“Police are reminding the public that aiding and abetting a fugitive is an offense and punishable under the law.”
Anyone knowing his whereabouts should contact police on 295-0011.
