A police spokesperson said: “Around 8.50pm this evening, police were dispatched to KEMH in response to an assault report.

“Details surrounding this incident are limited, however, it was ascertained that a 17-year-old male presented himself to KEMH with injuries to his arm and torso.

“Police have commenced investigation to determine the circumstances leading to his injuries.”
