Police are hunting a man with a “bladed article” who robbed a supermarket.

A spokesman said the man entered Maximart in Sandys on Tuesday night and demanded money. When he was unable to get any cash, he escaped with tobacco and cigarette papers.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened at about 11.30pm.

The raider was described as about 6ft 4in tall, of slim build and wearing dark clothes.
