Police have warned the public to be wary of online scams which pose as legitimate investment opportunities.

A police spokesman said officers recently received reports of a scam that involved digital currency in which the website used to trade the electronic cash was fraudulent.

He said: “The website address, www.iforexlive.co.uk, has since been suspended.

“It is strongly recommended that such transactions are only conducted through well-known and reputable financial institutions.

“Any incidents of suspected internet fraud should be reported to the Financial Crime Unit at 247-1757 or through the e-mail address fraud2@bps.bm.”
