Police appeal over 2018 murder
Police issued an appeal for help as they try to solve a murder that took place two years ago.
Danshun Swann, 25, was stabbed to death as he attempted to break up a fight outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club shortly after midnight on August 27, 2018.
Officers believe many people witnessed the stabbing.
Detective Chief Inspector Arthur Glasford said: “Danshun was stabbed trying to help you, his friends, and you are key to bringing closure to his family and ensuring that justice is served.
“Please, let your conscience be your guide and do the right thing.”
Detective Sergeant Jason Smith said: “The Bermuda Police Service is making a renewed appeal for those who witnessed this tragic incident and call themselves friends of Danshun, as well as any other persons who witnessed his stabbing, to come forward and speak to police.”
A police spokesman said the investigation was at a critical stage and there was the potential of it being solved.
He said that today was his sister’s birthday and added: “As you might expect, she finds it difficult to celebrate what for her should be a joyous occasion, but for the death of her beloved brother.”
Anyone with information should contact Mr Glasford on 717-0773, Mr Smith on 717-0864, or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.
