Woman arrested after five-car collision

A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a collision involving her car and four other vehicles, police said tonight.
No one was injured in the crash at the junction of Burnaby Street and Reid Street in Hamilton, but all five vehicles were damaged.
A police spokesman said a 24-year-old woman from Hamilton Parish ran a stop sign in her Suzuki Swift on Burnaby Street and was in collision with a blue BMW on Reid Street.
Three parked cars were also damaged, with one pushed on to the sidewalk and into the wall of Butterfield Bank.
The incident happened at at about 8.55pm last Sunday.
Appealing for witnesses, the police spokesman said inquiries continued and a court appearance was expected at a later date.
