Three stabbed in John Smith’s Bay fight

A man and two women were injured in a stabbing at John Smith’s Bay in the early hours of yesterday morning.

All three were taken via a private vehicle to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries, not believed to be life-threatening. One of the female victims remains in hospital.

Police attended the incident in Smith’s Parish just before 1am where several people had gathered for a birthday celebration.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “It is understood an altercation broke out around 12.30am and resulted in a 20-year-old male and two 19-year-old females being injured with what was believed to be a bladed article.”

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with mobile phone footage of the incident, to contact 211, the Criminal Investigation Department at 247-1744, or the confidential Crime Stoppers number at 800-8477.
