Police last night appealed for public help to trace two men in connection with a knife murder earlier this month.

Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith said the two men were “involved in this incident” where Duane GIbbons was found stabbed on Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton Parish.

He added: “The two men left the scene on a motorcycle headed in a westerly direction along North Shore Road.

“We believe there are members of our community who may have seen the suspects as they left the scene on that vehicle.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have information about these two individuals to get in contact with us.”

Mr Smith said: “We are also appealing for anyone who resides in the Kitty’s Lane, Hamilton Parish area and as far as Shelly Bay along the North Shore Road, who may have CCTV cameras focused on the roadway, to please make contact with us.”

Mr Gibbons, 57, from Warwick, was found unconscious on Blue Hole Hill at 2.20am on September 16 by a member of the public.

He was rushed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but later pronounced dead by doctors.

Anyone with information that could help the inquiry should contact Mr Smith on 717-0864, the main police number 295-0011 or the confidential and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
