A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman who was found in the early hours of Thursday, police said.

A police spokesman added that the 37-year-old man was expected to appear in court next week.

The arrest came after the body of a 28-year-old woman was found at a house in Smith’s after “a reported domestic dispute”.

The spokesman said: “A BPS family liaison officer has been provided to assist relatives of the deceased during this difficult period.

“The Bermuda Police Service extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.”

Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith, who is leading the investigation, appealed for anyone with information that could assist police to call him on 717-0864.

Information can also be passed on the police number 211 or through the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
