Alleged sex assault by rugby player on man in bar investigated by police

A police investigation has been launched into an alleged sexual assault by an overseas rugby player, The Royal Gazette can reveal.
A source said the player was alleged to have groped another man in a Hamilton bar.
A date for the alleged offence was not revealed but teams from the UK, Canada and France were on the island for the World Rugby Classic, which ran from November 8 to 13.
A police spokesman said: “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm an investigation has begun into a reported sexual assault, which is alleged to have taken place at a licensed premises within the City of Hamilton.
“No further information will be provided.”
