A 41-year-old man was arrested after an alleged assault on a 51-year-old woman, police said yesterday.

It was claimed that the attacker also brandished a knife and threatened another person.

Police were called to an incident at the playground on Parson’s Road in Pembroke at about 3pm on Sunday.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “Upon arrival, officers were met by the complainant who reported she was physically assaulted by the suspect who had also brandished a knife, threatening her and another person.

“The male was located on Victoria Street in the City of Hamilton and subsequently arrested.”
