Man arrested after police raid finds cash and drugs

Police seized more than $38,000 in cash along with illegal drugs in a raid on Monday at a Pembroke residence.

A man was arrested as officers from the Tactical Operations Division supported by the Community Policing Division executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A spokeswoman said that the “substantial” quantity of drugs came with an estimated street value of $45,000.

Chief Inspector Robert Cardwell called the raid “another example of BPS commitment to seize illicit drugs and the associated proceeds of the crime at every turn”.

“We will continue to work to bring to justice any person engaged in the sale of illicit drugs.”

He reminded the public that anyone with information that could assist in combating crime could call 211 or 295-0011, or speak with an officer with whom they are familiar.
