Police are investigating whether a video circulating on social media of a man wielding what appears to be a gun is local.

The film shows the man waving around the weapon and showing off what appears to be a magazine loaded with bullets. At one point he pulls the trigger but no shot is fired.

Someone else is videoing the man and swings the camera across to a nearby bed to film what appears to be close to 20 bullets.

A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “The BPS is aware of a video circulating on social media showing a man handling what appears to be a firearm and ammunition.

“Details surrounding the origin of the video is being investigated.”
