A major drug bust by police and customs officers in March has led to the arrest of a 58-year-old St George’s man, police confirmed.

Police said the arrest came in connection with a raid on March 15, in which a shipping container with suspected controlled drugs was seized and four people arrested after search warrants were carried out on a Hamilton business as well as homes in Devonshire and Pembroke.

That operation was said to be directed at “a well-organised crime group”.

A police spokesman said no further details would be given on the latest arrest.
