Police renew appeal for witnesses to 20-year-old’s murder
Police today renewed an appeal for witnesses to the murder of 20-year-old Jahcari Francis six years ago.
Mr Francis was fatally shot inside an Upland Street residence at about 10.40pm on July 19, 2017.
A police spokesman said: “Today, as in previous years, we are renewing our appeal for information on the circumstances pertaining to Mr Francis’s murder.”
He added that the investigative team wanted to speak to two people — one who drove by the home and another who was standing at the junction of Middle and Upland roads — shortly before the murder.
The spokesman said: “Additionally, investigators continue to make an appeal for area residents who can assist with identifying two men on a motorbike in the area at the time of the shooting. This is critical to our lines of inquiry.”
He also said that progress has been made in the investigation and thanked members of the public for their help.
Anyone with information should call Detective Inspector Jason Smith, the senior investigating officer, on 717-0864 or e-mail jsmith2@bps.bm.
People can also call the confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477, or make a report at www.crimestoppers.bm.
