Police seek witnesses to Pembroke hit-and-run

Police are calling for witnesses to a hit-and-run that left a 55-year-old man injured yesterday.

A police spokesman said that at about 5.10pm, officers received a report that a 55-year-old man had been struck by a grey Chevrolet in the parking lot of Ducking Stool Park in Pembroke.

“The motorcar driver did not stop, proceeded east along North Shore Road and made good their escape,” the spokesman said.

“The victim was attended to at the scene by EMTs before being taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment to his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.”
